Playing with new medium

Lately I have been playing with a lot of different mediums. Trying to get out of my comfort zone of my Acrylics. I have been playing with Pastel Pencils, Oil Pastels, Watercolor and Watercolor pencils and Markers. I am really loving it.  Colors are just so yummy!

Watercolors and Watercolor Pencils and I think I added a little bit of pastels

This one was all Markers

This one was all Oil Pastels. They were a box that my Mother gave when I was 12. And they are still good. I love them.

This one was pastel pencils with a little help with a blending stick

So I hope this inspires you to go out and try some new mediums.  Live a little!!! You might just find something that you really love!!!

Enjoy yourselves!!!! See you soon!!

These are absolutely wonderful! I’m trying to do the opposite and get out of my comfort zone of watercolors and try to learn how to use acrylics!! Happy PPF!

Lol! Everyone should try to do what is uncomfortable. I guess it is the way we will learn. Sometimes it is just so darn easy to go back to what we know!!

Such beautiful work Heather! I have started playing with alcohol markers lately, after having them for a while and never knowing how to use them or what to do with them. And it’s so much fun! You’re right, one needs to step out of his/her comfortzone every now and then and go on an adventure 🙂
